Stockholm in summer

Stockholm is the capital of Sweden. It counts approximately 1 800 000 inhabitants. One Swede on five lives in Stockholm. This city was created during the 13th century by Birger Jarl at the mouth of the lake MÃ¤laren.

Often called 'Venice of North', Stockholm is in fact built on 14 islands between the lake MÃ¤laren and the Baltic sea. Stockholm belongs to an archipelago of the same name which counts approximately 24000 islands or rocks.
