Götaland

The area of Götaland is situated in the south of the two large Swedish lakes which are lakes Vänern and Vättern. It is the most moderate area of Sweden and consequently its landscape is made of forests and lakes, but also of fields, meadows, farms which one only finds very seldom more in the north. It is the area which counts the most significant density of population in Sweden. The principal cities are Gothenburg, Malmö, Lund, Linköping and Jönköping.

	Gothenburg Gothenburg, second city of the country is the first Scandinavian harbour.
	Linköping Linköping, a significant ecclesiastical city.
	Jönköping Jönköping, in the south of the lake Vättern.
	Bohuslän Bohuslän, an area of small fjords and villages of fishermen.
	Dalsland Dalsland, an area between the lake Vänern, Norway and Boshulän.
